Produced by the iconic Quinta do Noval estate in the heart of the Douro Valley, this wine highlights the elegance, freshness and aromatic complexity of Tinto Cão. It displays a deep ruby colour with lifted aromas of wild berries, black cherries, violets and dried herbs, complemented by notes of black pepper, cocoa and subtle spice. The palate is medium-bodied yet concentrated, offering silky tannins, vibrant acidity and remarkable balance, finishing long, fresh and mineral with excellent ageing potential.

Production Notes
The grapes are hand-harvested from carefully selected vineyards in the Douro Valley. Fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures to preserve the delicate aromatics of Tinto Cão, followed by maturation in French oak barrels for several months to enhance structure and complexity while maintaining the grape's natural elegance and freshness.
Tasting Notes
Complex aromas of blackberry, black cherry, raspberry and violet are layered with hints of black pepper, liquorice, cocoa and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is refined and well-structured with bright acidity, polished tannins and flavours of ripe dark berries, spice and subtle oak, leading to a long, elegant and persistent finish.

We offer free next-day delivery on all UK Mainland orders over £150. For orders under £150, a delivery fee of £10 applies. We also deliver to Northern Ireland, the Highlands, Scottish Isles, and the Scilly Isles for £12, and to the Isle of Man for £20. Orders are dispatched Wednesday to Friday, with cheese orders specifically dispatched on Wednesday and Thursday.
Yes, we offer a Click & Collect service. Orders will be ready for collection one hour after placing the order. You can collect from our shop in Bromley Cross, Bolton, Wednesday to Sunday during our opening hours (Finchley Wines).
