Sottano Malbec is a classic representation of Mendoza’s hallmark grape, combining power with elegance.
The Sottano family estate is located at 980 metres above sea level in Luján de Cuyo, where the warm days and cool nights create Malbecs of depth and balance.
The 2024 vintage delivers generous fruit, velvety tannins, and a touch of oak influence, making it both approachable and age-worthy.

Production Notes
Grapes are hand-harvested from estate vineyards. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts for precise control of fruit character and structure. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, followed by ageing for several months in French oak barrels, adding complexity and smoothness without overpowering the varietal fruit.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby-purple. Aromas of ripe blackberries, plums, and black cherries, with notes of violets, vanilla, and a hint of tobacco. Full-bodied and rich, with flavours of dark fruit, cocoa, and spice. Rounded tannins and balanced acidity provide structure and elegance. Long and persistent, with fruit and subtle oak lingering.
Food Pairings
Ideal with grilled meats, roasted lamb, hearty stews, barbecues, and aged cheeses. Also pairs well with mushroom-based dishes and charcuterie.

We offer free next-day delivery on all UK Mainland orders over £150. For orders under £150, a delivery fee of £10 applies. We also deliver to Northern Ireland, the Highlands, Scottish Isles, and the Scilly Isles for £12, and to the Isle of Man for £20. Orders are dispatched Wednesday to Friday, with cheese orders specifically dispatched on Wednesday and Thursday.
Yes, we offer a Click & Collect service. Orders will be ready for collection one hour after placing the order. You can collect from our shop in Bromley Cross, Bolton, Wednesday to Sunday during our opening hours (Turton Wines).
You can return items within 30 days of purchase if they are unused and in the same condition as received, including original packaging. However, certain items like perishable goods and gift cards are non-returnable. Refunds will be processed once the returned item is inspected and approved.
