The Palo Santo Malbec from Bodega Urqo is a modern expression of high-altitude Argentine Malbec.
Crafted in Valle de Uco, Mendoza’s most prestigious sub-region, this wine reflects the intensity of the terroir with vibrant fruit, refined tannins, and an elegant structure.
The 2024 vintage captures the freshness of cool nights and the richness of sun-drenched days, producing a wine that is both powerful and balanced.
Its name, “Palo Santo” (holy wood), symbolises purity and tradition, echoing the winery’s respect for nature and heritage.

Production Notes
Sourced from vineyards located at 1,000–1,200 metres above sea level, where the diurnal range ensures excellent phenolic ripeness while preserving natural acidity. Grapes are hand-harvested, then fermented in stainless steel with careful extraction to highlight fruit purity. Ageing takes place in a combination of stainless steel and neutral oak to maintain balance between freshness and structure.
Tasting Notes
Deep violet-purple with bright reflections. Aromas of blackberries, plums, violets, and a touch of vanilla and cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, with juicy dark fruits, silky tannins, and hints of spice and mineral freshness. Long, smooth, and elegant, with lingering floral and fruit notes.
Food Pairings
Pairs beautifully with Argentine asado (grilled beef), lamb, spicy sausages, mushroom risotto, and semi-hard cheeses. Its freshness also allows pairing with Mediterranean dishes like aubergine parmigiana or roasted peppers.

We offer free next-day delivery on all UK Mainland orders over £150. For orders under £150, a delivery fee of £10 applies. We also deliver to Northern Ireland, the Highlands, Scottish Isles, and the Scilly Isles for £12, and to the Isle of Man for £20. Orders are dispatched Wednesday to Friday, with cheese orders specifically dispatched on Wednesday and Thursday.
Yes, we offer a Click & Collect service. Orders will be ready for collection one hour after placing the order. You can collect from our shop in Bromley Cross, Bolton, Wednesday to Sunday during our opening hours (Finchley Wines).
You can return items within 30 days of purchase if they are unused and in the same condition as received, including original packaging. However, certain items like perishable goods and gift cards are non-returnable. Refunds will be processed once the returned item is inspected and approved.
