Sirkel Chenin Blanc by Scali is a naturally fermented, unpretentious yet characterful expression of old-vine Chenin from the Paarl region.
Crafted by the husband-and-wife team Willie and Tania de Waal, the wine embodies Scali’s artisanal philosophy: minimal intervention, sustainability, and respect for terroir. "Sirkel" translates to "circle" in Afrikaans, reflecting the estate’s holistic approach to farming and winemaking.

Production Notes
Made from dry-farmed bush vines rooted in decomposed granite soils. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with wild yeasts in stainless steel and neutral oak barrels. No added enzymes or fining agents are used, and minimal sulphur is added at bottling. This natural fermentation approach enhances texture and expresses the vineyard’s minerality.
Tasting Notes
Pale straw colour with golden reflections. Aromas of pear, quince, and white peach are followed by subtle honey and chamomile notes. On the palate, it is rounded yet fresh, showing ripe stone fruit, green apple, and citrus zest with a hint of wet stone minerality. A clean, lingering finish marked by balanced acidity.
Food Pairings
Excellent with grilled fish, creamy pasta, roasted vegetables, or soft cheeses like Brie and Camembert. Also delightful as an aperitif.

We offer free next-day delivery on all UK Mainland orders over £150. For orders under £150, a delivery fee of £10 applies. We also deliver to Northern Ireland, the Highlands, Scottish Isles, and the Scilly Isles for £12, and to the Isle of Man for £20. Orders are dispatched Wednesday to Friday, with cheese orders specifically dispatched on Wednesday and Thursday.
Yes, we offer a Click & Collect service. Orders will be ready for collection one hour after placing the order. You can collect from our shop in Bromley Cross, Bolton, Wednesday to Sunday during our opening hours (Turton Wines).
You can return items within 30 days of purchase if they are unused and in the same condition as received, including original packaging. However, certain items like perishable goods and gift cards are non-returnable. Refunds will be processed once the returned item is inspected and approved.
