Production Notes
Grapes are hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed. The vineyard employs organic pest control and natural soil management methods. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels — a mix of new, second-, third-, and fourth-fill 500 L barrels, with some larger 2,700 L casks. Individual lots are blended after barrel ageing to achieve balance and depth.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of cracked black pepper, plum, baked cherry, bacon, and dark berries are supported by subtle hints of clove, violet, liquorice, tobacco, and cocoa. The palate shows brambly fruit and peppery spice, framed by firm yet refined tannins and lively acidity, leading to a long, savoury finish.
Food Pairings
Pairs beautifully with pepper steak, lamb, game meats such as springbok, and spiced dishes or curries. Also complements aged cheeses like mature cheddar or Gouda, as well as grilled Mediterranean vegetables.

We offer free next-day delivery on all UK Mainland orders over £150. For orders under £150, a delivery fee of £10 applies. We also deliver to Northern Ireland, the Highlands, Scottish Isles, and the Scilly Isles for £12, and to the Isle of Man for £20. Orders are dispatched Wednesday to Friday, with cheese orders specifically dispatched on Wednesday and Thursday.
Yes, we offer a Click & Collect service. Orders will be ready for collection one hour after placing the order. You can collect from our shop in Bromley Cross, Bolton, Wednesday to Sunday during our opening hours (Finchley Wines).
You can return items within 30 days of purchase if they are unused and in the same condition as received, including original packaging. However, certain items like perishable goods and gift cards are non-returnable. Refunds will be processed once the returned item is inspected and approved.
