“Les Claux” is known for its depth and finesse, showcasing old-vine Grenache grown on limestone-rich soils.
This cuvée expresses Gigondas at its most elegant — combining dark fruit richness with minerality and refined structure.
It reflects Louis Barruol’s philosophy of preserving terroir expression through minimal intervention.

Production Notes
Grapes from old vines (average 60+ years) grown on limestone and marl soils. Hand-harvested, whole-cluster fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Aged 12–18 months in a combination of used barriques and large foudres. Minimal sulphur, no fining or filtration.
Tasting Notes
Intense aromas of blackberry, blueberry and black cherry with hints of violets, garrigue herbs, liquorice and spice. Full-bodied yet poised, with fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity and a long, mineral-driven finish.

Perfect with lamb shank, venison, beef stew, game birds or truffle dishes.

We offer free next-day delivery on all UK Mainland orders over £150. For orders under £150, a delivery fee of £10 applies. We also deliver to Northern Ireland, the Highlands, Scottish Isles, and the Scilly Isles for £12, and to the Isle of Man for £20. Orders are dispatched Wednesday to Friday, with cheese orders specifically dispatched on Wednesday and Thursday.
Yes, we offer a Click & Collect service. Orders will be ready for collection one hour after placing the order. You can collect from our shop in Bromley Cross, Bolton, Wednesday to Sunday during our opening hours (Finchley Wines).
You can return items within 30 days of purchase if they are unused and in the same condition as received, including original packaging. However, certain items like perishable goods and gift cards are non-returnable. Refunds will be processed once the returned item is inspected and approved.
