Château de la Terrière is one of the oldest estates in Beaujolais, dating back to the 16th century.
While the domaine is primarily known for its Gamay wines, it also produces a refined Pinot Noir, drawing on cooler vineyard sites suited to this grape.
The 2020 vintage is a fresh, elegant expression with Burgundian finesse, marked by red fruit purity, floral aromatics, and subtle minerality.

Production Notes
Grapes are hand-harvested from hillside vineyards with clay-limestone soils. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel to preserve fruit brightness, followed by partial ageing in French oak barrels for complexity and roundness. The aim is to balance varietal freshness with gentle structure, staying true to Pinot Noir’s delicate character.
Tasting Notes
Bright ruby red. Aromas of fresh strawberries, raspberries, cherries, violets, and a touch of spice. Light to medium-bodied, with silky tannins and lively acidity. Red fruit flavours dominate, complemented by subtle earthy and floral notes. Smooth, elegant, and refreshing with a mineral lift.
Food Pairings
Excellent with roast chicken, duck, charcuterie, mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, or soft cheeses like Brie and Camembert. Also versatile for lighter Mediterranean dishes.

We offer free next-day delivery on all UK Mainland orders over £150. For orders under £150, a delivery fee of £10 applies. We also deliver to Northern Ireland, the Highlands, Scottish Isles, and the Scilly Isles for £12, and to the Isle of Man for £20. Orders are dispatched Wednesday to Friday, with cheese orders specifically dispatched on Wednesday and Thursday.
Yes, we offer a Click & Collect service. Orders will be ready for collection one hour after placing the order. You can collect from our shop in Bromley Cross, Bolton, Wednesday to Sunday during our opening hours (Finchley Wines).
You can return items within 30 days of purchase if they are unused and in the same condition as received, including original packaging. However, certain items like perishable goods and gift cards are non-returnable. Refunds will be processed once the returned item is inspected and approved.
