Kardos Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos is a classic botrytised dessert wine crafted in the historic village of Mád, Tokaj.
The “5 Puttonyos” classification indicates a high concentration of sweetness, balanced by Tokaj’s signature acidity.
Rich, golden, and lusciously complex, it reflects centuries of winemaking tradition in Hungary’s most famous wine region.

Production Notes
Grapes affected by noble rot (Botrytis cinerea) are selectively hand-picked. The aszú berries are macerated with must/wine, then pressed and fermented slowly. Aged for at least 2 years in Hungarian oak barrels in traditional Tokaji cellars, followed by additional bottle ageing before release.
Tasting Notes
Deep golden amber colour. Aromas of dried apricots, honey, orange peel, candied pineapple, and saffron. The palate is rich and unctuous, with layers of tropical fruit, caramel, and spice, lifted by vibrant acidity that keeps the wine fresh and balanced.
Food Pairings
Ideal with blue cheese, foie gras, fruit tarts, apricot desserts, nut-based pastries, and dark chocolate. Also enjoyed as a meditative wine on its own.

We offer free next-day delivery on all UK Mainland orders over £150. For orders under £150, a delivery fee of £10 applies. We also deliver to Northern Ireland, the Highlands, Scottish Isles, and the Scilly Isles for £12, and to the Isle of Man for £20. Orders are dispatched Wednesday to Friday, with cheese orders specifically dispatched on Wednesday and Thursday.
Yes, we offer a Click & Collect service. Orders will be ready for collection one hour after placing the order. You can collect from our shop in Bromley Cross, Bolton, Wednesday to Sunday during our opening hours (Finchley Wines).
You can return items within 30 days of purchase if they are unused and in the same condition as received, including original packaging. However, certain items like perishable goods and gift cards are non-returnable. Refunds will be processed once the returned item is inspected and approved.
