GERMANO Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba DOCG 2021 is a classic expression of Nebbiolo from one of Barolo's most prestigious communes. Produced by Ettore Germano, this wine reflects the power, structure and elegance that Serralunga d'Alba is renowned for. It displays a brilliant garnet-red colour with complex aromas of ripe red cherries, rose petals, violets, liquorice, tobacco and subtle spice. The palate is full-bodied and beautifully balanced, with firm yet refined tannins, vibrant acidity and remarkable depth. Layers of red fruit, earthy minerals and savoury spice lead to a long, persistent finish, making it an excellent wine for both immediate enjoyment with decanting and long-term cellaring.

Production Notes
Made exclusively from hand-harvested Nebbiolo grown in the Serralunga d'Alba commune. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with extended skin maceration to maximise colour, aroma and tannin extraction. The wine is then matured in large Slavonian oak casks for approximately 24 months before further bottle ageing, preserving the purity of the fruit while developing complexity and elegance.
Tasting Notes
Intense aromas of red cherry, raspberry, dried rose, violet, liquorice and tobacco are complemented by hints of leather and earthy minerals. The palate is rich and structured with fine-grained tannins, bright acidity and flavours of red berries, spice, balsamic herbs and subtle oak, finishing long, savoury and exceptionally elegant.
Food Pairings
An outstanding partner for slow-cooked beef, braised short ribs, roast lamb, venison, wild boar, truffle dishes, mushroom risotto, aged Parmigiano Reggiano and other mature hard cheeses. Decanting for at least one hour before serving is recommended to reveal its full complexity.

We offer free next-day delivery on all UK Mainland orders over £150. For orders under £150, a delivery fee of £10 applies. We also deliver to Northern Ireland, the Highlands, Scottish Isles, and the Scilly Isles for £12, and to the Isle of Man for £20. Orders are dispatched Wednesday to Friday, with cheese orders specifically dispatched on Wednesday and Thursday.
Yes, we offer a Click & Collect service. Orders will be ready for collection one hour after placing the order. You can collect from our shop in Bromley Cross, Bolton, Wednesday to Sunday during our opening hours (Finchley Wines).
You can return items within 30 days of purchase if they are unused and in the same condition as received, including original packaging. However, certain items like perishable goods and gift cards are non-returnable. Refunds will be processed once the returned item is inspected and approved.
