Sheep Whey Gin (Tasmania)
£49.99
Hartshorn Sheep Whey Gin is a unique craft gin distilled from sheep whey, a by-product of cheesemaking on the family-run Grandvewe Cheeses farm in Tasmania.
By using whey instead of grain, this innovative gin highlights sustainability and waste reduction while producing a smooth, creamy base spirit.
It is infused with a carefully balanced mix of native Australian botanicals for a distinctly Tasmanian expression.

Production Notes
Sheep whey is fermented and distilled to create the base spirit. Botanicals include juniper, native Tasmanian herbs, citrus peel, and spices, distilled in small batches using copper pot stills. Every bottle is hand-painted and individually signed, reflecting its artisanal and limited-batch nature.
Tasting Notes
Smooth and creamy on the palate with bright notes of juniper, citrus zest, and fresh herbs layered over a subtle floral sweetness. The finish is clean, elegant, and slightly earthy with lingering botanicals.
Food Pairings
Pairs beautifully with fresh seafood, oysters, and artisanal cheeses — particularly sheep’s milk cheeses from the same farm.

NOTE:
Occasionally, a wine’s vintage or label may change without prior notice from the producer. We do our best to keep our website accurate and up to date. If you receive a different vintage than the one ordered, it simply means the previous vintage has sold out.
If you require a specific vintage, please leave a note at checkout or contact us directly by phone or email before placing your order. Customer satisfaction is our top priority, and we’ll do everything we can to meet your request.

The 22-week wine challenge totally changed the way I enjoy wine. It's not just about drinking — it’s about tasting, pairing, and appreciating. Loved every week of it

The History of Finchley Wines
Finchley Wine — A Neighbourhood Wine Venture with Heart
Born from the passion of two wine enthusiasts, Finchley Wine is more than just a bottle shop. It is the result of five years of dreaming, planning, and sourcing with purpose. Our founders left their careers to create something that would bring people together, support sustainability, and celebrate the beauty of honest winemaking.
Every detail of Finchley Wine reflects that vision. The space is thoughtfully designed with an organic, natural aesthetic and shelves filled with handpicked bottles from producers who care for their land as much as their craft. We call it wine design, a blend of taste, community, and creativity that turns every visit into an experience.
At Finchley Wine, you will find not only distinctive wines but also a welcoming space built on connection, sustainability, and local spirit.
