Tormaresca Nèprica Primitivo 2023 is a vibrant and expressive red from Puglia, crafted by Tormaresca, part of the prestigious Antinori family estates.
This wine embodies the warmth and generosity of southern Italy’s terroir, where the Primitivo grape finds ideal growing conditions.
The vineyards are located in the Salento area, between the Adriatic and Ionian seas, where intense sunlight and cooling breezes allow for even ripening and concentration of flavour.
Tormaresca’s philosophy combines innovation and respect for tradition, producing wines that highlight purity of fruit and regional character while maintaining exceptional balance and elegance.

Production Notes
The grapes are hand-harvested at full ripeness and gently crushed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by a maceration period of about 10 days to extract colour and flavour. After fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic conversion and is aged partly in stainless steel and partly in oak barrels for several months to refine texture and add subtle spice complexity.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red in colour, Nèprica Primitivo offers generous aromas of ripe red fruits, cherries, and plums, layered with hints of sweet spices, vanilla, and cocoa. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, displaying soft tannins and balanced acidity. Rich flavours of blackberry and dark cherry dominate, leading to a smooth, lingering finish with touches of chocolate and warm spice.

We offer free next-day delivery on all UK Mainland orders over £150. For orders under £150, a delivery fee of £10 applies. We also deliver to Northern Ireland, the Highlands, Scottish Isles, and the Scilly Isles for £12, and to the Isle of Man for £20. Orders are dispatched Wednesday to Friday, with cheese orders specifically dispatched on Wednesday and Thursday.
Yes, we offer a Click & Collect service. Orders will be ready for collection one hour after placing the order. You can collect from our shop in Bromley Cross, Bolton, Wednesday to Sunday during our opening hours (Turton Wines).
