Laphroaig 10 Year Old is one of the most iconic Islay single malts, renowned for its intense smoky character and medicinal complexity.
First released in the 1940s, it continues to be made in the traditional way at the distillery on Islay’s rugged southern coast.
Its powerful style, shaped by peat smoke, Atlantic influence, and patient ageing in ex-bourbon barrels, has made it a favourite among whisky enthusiasts who appreciate bold flavours.

Production Notes
Produced using heavily peated malted barley, dried over Islay peat fires rich in seaweed. Distilled in onion-shaped copper stills and aged for a minimum of 10 years in ex-bourbon American oak casks, resting in seaside warehouses where Atlantic air imparts maritime character. Bottled without colouring, retaining natural golden hue.
Tasting Notes
Intense and smoky with dominant notes of medicinal peat, iodine, and seaweed layered over vanilla, oak, and a touch of sweetness. The finish is long, warming, and drying, leaving lingering smoke, spice, and brine.
Food Pairings
Best savoured neat or with a splash of water to open up complexity. Works well alongside smoked salmon, oysters, charcuterie, or blue cheeses. Can also be enjoyed with dark chocolate or rich game dishes where smoky flavours harmonise.

We offer free next-day delivery on all UK Mainland orders over £150. For orders under £150, a delivery fee of £10 applies. We also deliver to Northern Ireland, the Highlands, Scottish Isles, and the Scilly Isles for £12, and to the Isle of Man for £20. Orders are dispatched Wednesday to Friday, with cheese orders specifically dispatched on Wednesday and Thursday.
Yes, we offer a Click & Collect service. Orders will be ready for collection one hour after placing the order. You can collect from our shop in Bromley Cross, Bolton, Wednesday to Sunday during our opening hours (Turton Wines).
You can return items within 30 days of purchase if they are unused and in the same condition as received, including original packaging. However, certain items like perishable goods and gift cards are non-returnable. Refunds will be processed once the returned item is inspected and approved.
