Cune Ribera del Duero Roble 2023

Price

£14.99

The CVNE Crianza is a vibrant red wine from Rioja that combines freshness with depth, offering aromas of ripe cherry, red fruits, and a delicate touch of glazed flowers.

On the palate, it is silky and expressive, with spiced red fruit and subtle vanilla notes lifted by an elegant floral bouquet. The ripe, velvety tannins bring balance and structure, leading into a lively, lingering finish marked by sour cherry and a hint of liquorice.

A superb introduction to the craftsmanship of one of Rioja’s most celebrated independent wineries, this wine pairs beautifully with grilled meats, tapas, or hearty pasta dishes.

Production Notes

Tempranillo grapes are harvested from vineyards situated at high altitudes in Ribera del Duero, where warm days and cool nights ensure excellent ripeness and acidity. After destemming and fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation.

Tasting Notes

Deep cherry-red in colour, the wine presents aromas of ripe blackberries, plums, and cherries, with subtle notes of vanilla, toast, and spice from its time in oak. The palate is vibrant and medium-bodied, offering flavours of red and black fruits intertwined with hints of cocoa and cedar. The tannins are soft and rounded, supported by fresh acidity that gives balance. The finish is smooth and persistent, with lingering fruit and a touch of oak spice.

Food Pairings

Ideal with grilled lamb, roasted pork, charcuterie, chorizo, hard cheeses, and tapas-style dishes.

The History of Finchley  Wines

Finchley Wine — A Neighbourhood Wine Venture with Heart

Born from the passion of two wine enthusiasts, Finchley Wine is more than just a bottle shop. It is the result of five years of dreaming, planning, and sourcing with purpose. Our founders left their careers to create something that would bring people together, support sustainability, and celebrate the beauty of honest winemaking.
Every detail of Finchley Wine reflects that vision. The space is thoughtfully designed with an organic, natural aesthetic and shelves filled with handpicked bottles from producers who care for their land as much as their craft. We call it wine design, a blend of taste, community, and creativity that turns every visit into an experience.
At Finchley Wine, you will find not only distinctive wines but also a welcoming space built on connection, sustainability, and local spirit.
